The Goddess in a Hellenic Song

20 years ago, a Hellenic singer, Alkestis Protopsalte, published a song and a video clip. Her real name is Alkestis Sevaste Attikiouzel. She was born in Alexandreia of Egypt and moved to Athens due to political events. She was a runner and after that she became a singer. She had a great success. Her contribution is so recognized that she even became a minister of culture for a month in 2015. Both the song we are going to see and the video have strong influences and symbolism of our Goddess Hekate. It is not quite possible that she or the production team had something like that in mind. But the result is a song aligned with Hekate. I have think of it many times. How the Goddess can interfere in our daily lives and pass a message massively without having the concious mind in the route, to understand Her actions. In this article, I am going to share my thoughs with you, regardings a special song, called "lava".

Hekate in the Golden Dawn Temple Tarot - Part Two

Almost a year ago, I wrote an article with Hekate in the G.D. Temple Tarot. It is time to expand it and be more analytical. In this article I am going to focus on the Moon card of the Major Arcana and how the Goddess is related with that card.

The Mindhack Project Attacks Hekate - Our Answer

The Mindhack Project is a greek website which has articles about the following subjects: occultism, conspirancies, weird news. They write about occultism, or they think they do. The slogan of the webiste is "break the binds of mind". We will see about that. It is constituted by a group of 14 writers. At 13th of June 2016 they started an attack against our Mother Goddess Hekate, her devotees and the truth. Though we both (Eirini and I) asked them to make the appropriate corrections or at least show us their sources that they invoke (but do not write), they didn't respond back. So, as I promised to them, I am going to inform the community of what they write against our Goddess and what is the truth. We really didn't understand why they chose not to answer to our simple request...

Timaios And The Creation Of The Universe

Timaios is one of the dialogues of Plato, which the great philosopher wrote in his latest years. It is a continuation of “About Town” or “About Justice” and after that, Kritias should be read, at least the fragment that is has survived to us. Another title for Timaios is “About Nature”. It was the main text of cosmology till 13th century, when the Physics and Metaphysics of Aristotle were discovered. The first two parts have been survived in latin and the third in hellenic. Plato uses Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics, Pathology, Cosmology and Metaphysics in his dialogue.

In the following article, excerpts of the dialogue will be presented which have to do with the creation of the universe by the one God-Creator, the creation of the Soul of the Universe, and lastly the creation of humans by gods and how important is the part of their soul.

The Spindle Of Necessity And The Strophalos

Some days ago, I followed a pathworking being in theta-gamma. The Goddess Hekate played an important role to this exercise as I asked Her to show me a symbol for my further personal evolution. From a point I could't continue with the existed story of the pathworking as the Goddess created scenes in which I coudln't interfere with my imagination. In this journey She took me to a place which I found later that it was also described in the last book of Plato's Politeia in the concept of the myth, the myth of Er. My purpose is not to reveal the pathworking but the conclusions, the myth and my commentaries.

Commentary on Timaios for the Positioning of the Cosmic Soul

On the work of Proclos, Commentaries on Timaios, we read a comment about a platonic teaching concerning the positioning of the soul. Porphyrios, Iamblichos and Proclos give their views. Read the following text having in mind that the Goddess Hekate is the cosmic soul, the soul of the universe, putting the soul of the universe in the middle between the mental and the tangible world.

Ancient Unknown Hymn to Hekate Chthonia

In the following article an ancient hymn to Hekate will be presented saved by the christian philosopher and theologist, Ippolytos. The hymn is unknown to the community of the Goddess Hekate and as this blog has the goal to present rare material and information from the ancient texts, about our Goddess, this article is another great contribution to our goal. The hymn can be used to invoke the Goddess during Deipnon (=Supper) or the darker aspects during waning of the moon.
